Man’s Viral Thread About His Neighbor’s Pets Breaking Into His House Is The Best Thing To Ever Happen On Twitter

Over the weekend, JP Brammer tweeted that there were two dogs and a cat outside his apartment door, waiting to enter.

“There’s a… cat and two dogs knocking on my apartment door?” he wrote, quickly sending the post viral. “Like inside the building what do I do omg.”

Brammer posted a video as evidence in a subsequent tweet, captioned, “what….?” In the clip he is heard greeting the pack, laughing as he asks them, “Hi…watsup? Y’all?”

When Brammer walked out the door to greet the animals, the cat snuck in without his noticing. “I had to check my own video for evidence,” he wrote.

“No idea how to herd this cat upstairs.”

“Yeah this cat is settling the f—k in, help.”

At this point, Brammer revealed a “crucial development”—the dogs figured out how to open their front door themselves.

He decided to chill with them in the hallway…

…but then got into his place anyway (“it’s hopeless,” laughed Brammer.)

He tried pleading with them.

(It doesn’t work.)

“Everyone’s on your side. All of Twitter is on you and your friends’ side,” he tells the cat.

“Our dynamic has dramatically shifted, now we’re just friends. It’s fine.”

The cat in particular appeared to be very pleased with itself.

After what seemed like hours, Brammer was able to enlist the help of another neighbor. They MacGyvered a string device to hold the animals inside.

Brammer told BuzzFeed News that it took “forever” for the owners to return home and that he was stressed beyond belief in the meantime.

“I was like, ‘Oh god, they’re dead,” he said. “Oh god, the ownersare in their bedrooms or something and there’s dead bodies in there and the [Twitter] thread’s gonna take a huge turn for the worse, because where are they? So I was having this panic attack.”

Alls well that ends well though, because the owners did finally return to their home and their escape artist animals.

Naturally, Homeward Bound references abounded as Twitter swooned over the wholesomeness of Brammer’s thread.

People noted that if animals show up at your front door, you have no choice but to let them in. It’s basically a law.

It was clearly ~meant to be~*~*

The cat was naturally pinpointed as the mastermind of the situation.

Other Twitter users—including Questlove—shared similar tales of escape-artist cats and dogs.

The world is trash, but this Twitter thread wasn’t.
