Shangela Performed The Most Iconic Beyoncé Medley And Received A Standing Ovation From Queen B Herself
If you’re a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, I’m sure as hell you know Shangela Laquifa Wadley—aka Shangela—the queen of queens. The drag queen who was a runner-up on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 3 recently made headlines for a stunning performance she put on at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards.
The awards, which honor people who work in the media spotlight and represent and advocate for people in the LGBTQcommunity, were honoring both Beyoncé and Jay-Z with the Vanguard Award. To celebrate their honor and all they have done to help those in the community, Shangela performed an outstanding medley of Queen B’s favorite songs.
It was flawless.

The performance was incredible that the Queen of the hive gave her a standing ovation—with whistling.
OMG! This is #Beyonce and #JayZ giving @itsshangela a standing ovation after Shangela did a lip sync (for your life) medley of Beyonce songs. OMG! @glaad pic.twitter.com/9mvva7TzoA

Even during her speech, she said she was so into the performance, she put a “run in her stocking.”

People online were absolutely floored.

Shangela receiving Beyoncé’s approval is more important than winning Drag Race tbh

Lip syncing Beyonce IN FRONT OF Beyonce?
Forget the Drag Race crown, give Shangela the Medal of Honor.
